Colour Options

Australian Native Bee Species likely to use the block:

Resin Bees – Fire Tail Resin Bees – Megachile mystaceana, Megachile aurifrons and the smaller Megachile deanii, Leafcutter Bees, Masked bees.

Where can you use these?

We’ve seen great results in all areas of Australia, from North Queensland down to Melbourne and across to Adelaide and Perth.

Position

Place under cover so it’s sheltered from extreme sun or rain, on a patio or verandah so you can view it easily.

It’s best not to expose the bee cell structures to water. Getting the bee cells wet could cause them to fail.

Do bees come with the block?

Solitary bees don’t come in a hive like honey bees. Simply place the block in a suitable position and native solitary bees will discover it over time.
